The Engine of Change
As a graduate of Leadership
Jefferson’s inaugural class in 2003, I have experienced first hand what an
impact participating in the program can have in helping someone develop a better
understanding of the challenges and opportunities present in Jefferson Parish.
It is a complex web of intertwining issues and circumstances that is not
easily untangled. If we are to improve the quality of life in Jefferson, it
won’t be enough to simply want it. Our desire for change is like a engine but
it can’t run without the fuel of knowledge, resources, and relationships. In my
experience and based on the testimonials of our graduates, there is no better
place to get that fuel than Leadership Jefferson. It is an absolute must for
committed leaders seeking to make a positive impact on the quality of life in
Jefferson Parish.
